WATA Radio

AM 1450 WATA, The High Country’s news source since 1950, with news from around the world and right around the corner. Johnathon Roten in the mornings, the Swap Shop and the Noon News Hour with Mike Kelly, the latest in sports with The David Glenn Show from 1 to 3 p.m. Oldies in the Afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. and the 5 p.m. News Hour with Andy Glass. WATA is the original affiliate for live Appalachian State University football, basketball, and baseball. WATA is also home to Watauga High School sports.

 

Classic Hits 100.7

Classic Hits 100.7 plays the greatest hits of the 60s and 70s, with some late 50s and early 80s thrown in for good measure. Tom Lanier mornings from 6 to 9 a.m. and Andy Glass afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m.

NewsTalk 1200 WXIT is a favorite of upscale, educated, involved people. Listen live to Roten in the Morning from sunrise until 9 am on weekdays. Dave Ramsey gives financial advice 9 am to noon. It’s Rush Limbaugh from noon to 3, and Sean Hannity from 3 to 6 pm.

 

Highway 106.1 FM

When you're riding the Highway, you know you are getting the High Country's best country. Tommy cranks it up in the mornings, Brian brings you the Short Order Lunch, and Jeremiah takes you home in the afternoon. The Highway can be heard on 106.1 FM and 102.3 FM across northwestern North Carolina.

 

Glory 1130AM

GLORY 1130 in Newland is the high country's gospel voice featuring news from around the world and right here at home. We’re your source for the High Country Swap Shop, heard six days a week. Good preaching and music all day every Sunday!
