The National Park Service announces the completion of an over $100 million rehabilitation to 75 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This major work was funded by the Great American Outdoors Act, as the investment improves critical infrastructure and visitor access of a great American scenic roadway. The multi-year work included improvements north of Doughton Park to near Grandfather Mountain that addressed maintenance needs while preserving the Parkway’s historic character. The National Park Service and the Federal Hwy Administration managed the work.
