October 15th marked opening day for Early Voting in North Carolina and the High Country, regarding the midterm election (Tuesday, November 3rd). Early voting is taking place now through Halloween, Saturday, the 31st. Early voting sites across Watauga County are the Appalachian Student Union, the Blowing Rock American Legion Bldg. on Wallingford Street, the fire departments of Deep Gap and Meat Camp, the Watauga Co. Administration Building, West King Street, and the Western Watauga Community Center/Sugar Grove.
